“Spring Meetings” – A special gift is dedicated to those who are far away from fatherland.
(Thanh Nien Newspaper) at Tet Mau Ty 2008, our overseas compatriots shall have chance to a special art program called "Spring Meetings." The program was broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV4 in the evening dated February 11, 2008 (means the 5th of Tet Mau Ty in accordance with Lunar Year).
The program shall be jointly held in the Hanoi Opera House by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the National Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Television, Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese and Homeland Media.
The art exchange is organized meticulously, monumentally with famous participants such as Singers Dang Duong, Trong Tan, Viet Hoan, Duy quang, Huong Lan, Jimmy Nguyen, Mai Hoa, Le Quyen, Tung Duong, Phuong Anh, Ngoc Anh, Le Anh Dung, Ngo Mai Trang, "Con Gai" Band ("Girls Ban"), Sao Mai trio, Grammy dance band and Center of Children's Art and Culture.
The artists shall perform famous songs with contents on springs, love for family, fatherland and Vietnamese people. In addition, the program also exchanges, meets and introduces the typical domestic businesses, businessmen, the goods and good deeds and overseas compatriots who have made significant spiritual and material contribution to development and construction of the country.
