Meeting again "Spring Meetings" - a gift for Canh Dan Spring 2010
(Reporter) Back up to date, in the beautiful Spring day, in the evening of the 7th of Tet Canh Dan (February 20, 2010), numerous overseas compatriots all over the world were in full happiness to enjoy Spring time in Vietnam and the audiences of Hanoi Capital met each other in Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace to enjoy the Exchange Program - Special Arts "Spring Meetings 2010" in the warm air of hometown love". The program was jointly held by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the National Committee for Overseas Vietnamese - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Television, Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese and Homeland Media. The program was broadcast live via VTV1 and VTV4.
Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace with 1200 seats had no longer vacant seats. Right at 19.00 PM, Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace seemed to heat up due to the eagerness of overseas compatriots and audiences of Hanoi Capital. All of them also expressed their happiness and gave the best wishes to each other in New Year.
Many nice memories of the Vietnamese expatriates were recalled and shared in the moving air of the meeting, blended with loving artistic space with the immortal songs praising spring, emotion, Vietnam hometown love performed by professional art delegations, domestic famous artists and overseas nationals such as: Mai Hoa, Anh Tho, Đang Duong, Viet Hoan, Trong Tan, Tung Duong, Giao Linh, Huong Lan, Duy Quang, Tan Nhan, Le Anh Dung, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, "Nhip Đieu" band, "Pha Le Xanh" band, Thang Long Dance Band, Grammy Dance Band and Thang Long Theatre.
Fatherland is really sacred for every overseas nationals. Only when they are far away from the fatherland, they feel how much they miss and love their homeland. Banian trees, river wharf, communal house in the village and gentle rivers, spreading green rice fields and kites flying in windy dikes etc... Such memories shall reappear in this program. Especially, this year, the entire people are very happy to welcome the great festival of 1000-year old Thang Long - Hanoi. Together with the subject of Spring, a part of the program shall be dedicated for exchange with domestic and overseas Hanoians who have deep feeling for Hanoi and then the performance of famous songs written about Thang Long - Hanoi.
The overseas artist Huong Lan said that: Huong Lan is the one of first artists from overseas coming back to sing in the fatherland. Even residing in any places in the world and celebrate New Year overseas, she and every Vietnamese expatriates always miss fatherland crazily. This is the third time she enjoys Tet holiday in Vietnam and the second time she sings in this program. She feels very moved to sing for Vietnamese people in the meaningful program like this.
